Extended opening hours for social enterprise café

Pomegranate Café will be opening its doors on Saturdays from this month.

Located in the historic Queen’s building in Wolverhampton City Centre by the bus station, the café is open Tuesday–Friday 9am–2.30pm and from 5th April every Saturday 10am–2pm.

The community café serves quality coffee, freshly made sandwiches and paninis, cakes and homemade lunch specials.

Funds raised from the café is invested into the Good Shepherd’s free to access food and support services to help people across Wolverhampton.

Tom Hayden, CEO of the Good Shepherd said:

“I’m delighted that we can now offer the general public another opportunity to visit the Pomegranate cafe.

“Previously the café was only open on selected Wolves match days, but opening every Saturday will give people the chance to enjoy the delicious food on offer whilst helping to support Good Shepherd services.”

Pomegranate offers training and employment opportunities for people with lived experiences of homelessness or other barriers to work.

The project is supported by Wolverhampton City Council who initially helped develop the Queen’s Building in which the café is located alongside the Central Community Shop.
